Foreign buyers are again accused of being the cause of rising property prices.
E-scooters . . . Bang on cue. Literally.
A headline in a local paper . . . We all know someone with a drug problem in Galicia. Actually, I don’t – excluding the perennial beggars. Actually, I know by sight more providers than users. Well, one – taking the same route into and out of town as me. I suspect he’s well-known to the police and ignored because he only deals in hash.
The World Cup
AI info, allegedly up-to-date . . .The teams already out are– Haiti, Turkey, Tunisia, Jordan, Panama, Qatar, Czechia, and Curaçao. Because the group stage is still being settled, that list can change. The teams already through to the round of 32 are Argentina, Mexico, and the USA. The top 2 in each group go through, plus 8 3rd-placed teams, so the full list is still changing as the final group matches finish. England will go through if they beat Panama. To say the least, it would be a shock if they don’t. Their opponent would then be Uruguay, who (surprisingly) beat Germany last night.

The United States of Trump America
Trump: There were 45,000 people at my hugely successful first event for the 250 anniversary celebrations. [Objective witnesses suggest a poor turnout of only c.1,000, several of whom left during his standard rant about himself and bis victories.]
You’d have to be an idiot – quite a few of these in the USA, it seems – not to realise that Trump is hell-bent on saving his skin by rigging or ignoring the November elections. But things aren’t going his way, either in Congress around the Save etc. Act nor in the courts.

Spanish
- Millo: Maize, corn. Might be Gallego. . .
- Jerga: Slang
- Nadadora. I’m told that this is a slang term for a woman who, shall we say, in not well endowed with secondary sexual characteristics, front and back. Choose your own phrase. Literally, it means a female swimmer.
