THE HOMICIDE IN MINNEAPOLIS

If you’re still capable of being shocked, see this Laurence O’Donnell video on the fatal shooting:

  • Trump tells one of his biggest ever lies, defying the evidence in front of him.
  • Vance pitches for the presidency by telling his own lies and disgracing Yale university.
  • The FBI does whatever Trump tells them to do, however morally wrong, illegal or insane.

Even Jimmy Kimmel can’t find anything to joke about, when those running the country order you to ignore the evidence of your own eyes. And when there is no longer a baseline of truth.

A few questions arising. Doubtless you’ll have your own:-

  • Can the Trump regime sink even lower?
  • Does anything this disgusting and despicable even happen in Russia? Iran?
  • Is it possible for people with power or influence to be more immoral than this?
  • How is it possible for Vance to be a Catholic/Christian?
  • Will people ever again respect the USA?
  • Will anyone ever again want to visit the USA? [One view on this]
  • Will the violent, gun-happy USA ever cease to be the Wild West?

A few observations from other commentators this doleful morning:-

  • In today’s USA, if you don’t resist an ICE agent in any way, you get to keep your life.
  • But, if you so much as scratch one, you are a lunatic Left, domestic terrorist who deserves to be shot.
  • The attitude of the Trump administration is that: If we use violence, it’s legal. Might is right, both domestically and internationally.
  • The violence and the cruelty are deliberate. They are an objective. Trump relishes them. He instigates them.
  • The divide between the two Americas has never been clearer.

My last word – Trump is an abominable human being but his minions are, if anything, even worse. For Trump has never had a moral compass, whereas they surely have had one. But, in the interests of power and wealth, they have jettisoned it. It’s not hard to envisage them joining Goebbels, Himmler and Goering around Hitler’s Cabinet table. Most of whom were Christians too.

For Americans: Cry, my beloved country. The rest of us are already crying for you. You are the ruined city at the bottom of the hill.

  1. Es repugnante y no tiene justificación. Es una locura, es un Estado terrorista, su moral es la que ellos consideran cuando conviene, que sea cristiano, católicos o lo que sea no quiere decir nada porque la hipocresía es muy grande. Si eso es ser cristiano o tener una moral y ética siendo ateo, no hace galta ser cristiano para ser una persona y tratar a los otros seres humanos como quieres que te traten a ti. Ahí rige la key de La Jungla..

    En Rusia no lo hemos visto pero si como mataron al opositor a Putin, si como atacó Ucrania…

    En Irán tampoco se ha visto pero ese régimen es optes y el pueblo está en la calle.

    Parece un cambio de cromos, uno en USA y otro en el este de Europa.

    Yo que veo documentales sobre crímenes de USA, Canadá, UK, la diferencia de USA, por ejemplo con UK en cuanto a actuaciones policiales es abismal, también en cuanto a homicidios con respecto a Europa.

    De verdad que yo no quiero ir alli, a nada.

    Las burlas de Trump a Macron, llama feos a los venezolanos, llama gente de mierd…a hispanos, para que queremos a ésta gente aquí ?
