Finally . . .

  • Tonight I was driven almost to distraction by Google maps, when it sent us from pillar to post, in search of a Thai restaurant in Valencia. And this after failing to give us correct instructions in the medieval village of Morella, and after telling us to turn sharp right and then left on a road to the coast without turn-offs. Bloody useless! In the case of the Valencian restaurant, what should have taken us at most 30 minutes took an hour. Imagine how we felt when we were told we’d have to wait an hour for a table! Which we didn’t.
  • I told Ruth not to turn round but she did. And was turned into a pillar of salt . . .
